For this reason, we are committed to donating our time, talents, and resources to making a positive impact. Whether it’s by volunteering with the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation or the Woodlands Conservancy—to preserve the arts, culture, and landscape that make Louisiana unique the world over—or making financial contributions to the Louisiana Center for Children’s Rights or ACLU of Louisiana’s Justice Lab initiative—to ensure equal justice for all under the law—we pitch in however we can. As both individuals and as a firm, we are dedicated to ensuring and enhancing the strength and character of the people and places that surround us.
We also recognize that the values and integrity of our profession will endure only as long as we are willing to act as its faithful stewards. That’s why we are firm believers in passing along the things that we learn—as the law and our understanding of it evolves, and as we accumulate practical experience from being “actually in the arena.” That’s also why we are always ready and willing to learn from our fellow practitioners, each of whom has something insightful to share, regardless of their age, background, or identity—and often, especially because of those things.
Our attorneys stay actively engaged in their professional communities—participating in panels, giving presentations, publishing papers, and networking in between. They do these things on both a local and national level via organizations united around geography, practice area, or the growing diversity of our bar. It is only through these efforts that we can strengthen our profession, improve upon it, and along the way, forge new personal and business relationships with our colleagues.
A list of the organizations with which we engage is provided below.
