Since its inception, our firm has been committed to providing the highest level of legal services to our clients while promoting the health and wellness of our attorneys and staff. In line with our foundational principle of maintaining a healthy work-life balance, and even before the current pandemic, we have stayed ahead of the curve in allowing our attorneys and certain staff members the flexibility of working remotely and equipping them to do so without any interruption in productivity or responsiveness to our clients.
In early March 2020, amid growing concern about the spread of COVID-19, we were uniquely positioned to completely switch over to a virtual office with the provision of portable office equipment to our staff. And, by the second week of March, weeks ahead of other area law firms and in advance of state-imposed stay-at-home orders, we did just that—with no interruption in services provided to our clients.
As the country sheltered in place, our office seamlessly pivoted to online teleconference meetings with clients, participated in remote video depositions and hearings, and focused on firm teambuilding from home. We stayed apprised of regulatory changes and other emerging legal issues affecting our clients.
As Louisiana and Texas now begin to reopen, we have enacted a return-to-work policy aligned with state and local guidelines to protect the safety of our employees and the community, which includes the enforcement of social distancing, personnel temperature monitoring, wearing compliant face coverings, and continual sanitation and cleaning of common areas. We remain committed to providing the same level of legal excellence to our clients and will continue to adapt and confront any challenges ahead in the best interests of our clients and our people.
