Sarah Iiams

Sarah graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with a B.A. in History. In 1993, she received her law degree, cum laude, from Loyola University College of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana. Sarah graduated in the top three percent of her law school class. At Loyola, she was a member of the Loyola Law Review and Moot Court Staff. She was an Intramural Semi-Finalist in the Loyola Moot Court Competition and received the American Jurisprudence Award in Corporations.

Throughout her career, Sarah has managed complex civil litigation dockets and tried cases in Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi, though she has been admitted pro hac vice for purposes of trials in other states. She practices primarily in the areas of toxic tort, environmental contamination, product liability, and general civil litigation. She also has practiced in the areas of maritime, personal injury, and railroad defense litigation. Her trial work includes premise and product liability for chemical and particulate exposures.

Sarah is currently a member of the Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi Bar, the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit, Phi Kappa Phi, DRI, and Women’s Energy Network. She has been a member of the National Association of Women Lawyers and was appointed to DRI’s “Women in the Courtroom Committee.” Sarah is also “AV” Peer Review rated by Martindale Hubbell.

Sarah has had public speaking engagements on behalf of Fortune 100 clients and the DRI. She was also featured in The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel magazine’s November 2008 issue.
