Robert E. Guidry
Robert is a Partner of Kuchler Polk Weiner, LLC. Robert completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University (B.A. 1998), where he was a member of the History Honor Society, Phi Alpha Theta.
Prior to law school, Robert participated in an externship for the Louisiana Supreme Court and later served as the assistant to the En Banc Attorney at the Twenty-Fourth Judicial District Court handling criminal matters related to post-conviction relief.
Robert received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law in 2002. While attending Loyola, he was the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Loyola Maritime Law Journal and was instrumental in establishing the journal and publishing the inaugural 2002 issue. Robert is also an active member of the Journal’s advisory board.
He is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana (2003), the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, (2003) and all Louisiana State Courts (2002). He is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association.
Robert has broad experience on a range of complex matters involving the resolution of commercial litigation, oil and gas disputes, environmental law and toxic tort litigation, maritime law, and contract issues. He has managed large dockets in class actions and mass torts, products and premises liability, and personal injury including as co-counsel in multi-district litigation for claims arising from the blowout of a deepwater well in the Gulf of Mexico.
