Marcus B. Hunter

Marcus is an Associate with Kuchler Polk Weiner, LLC. His primary practice areas are toxic tort litigation, products liability, and commercial litigation.

Marcus received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and his Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. After graduation, Marcus served as a law clerk to the Hon. Piper D. Griffin, Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans. Marcus is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, and all Louisiana State Courts. He is also a member of the National Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, and the New Orleans Bar Association.

Marcus is a native New Orleanian and has been involved in a number of community service projects and other civic commitments. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and watching sporting events.


  • In May 2018, Marcus was a part of a trial team in the United States District Court of the Eastern District of Louisiana that won a $61 million verdict. The case involved a contract dispute between oil companies regarding the costs surrounding the shutdown of four oil-and-gas wells in the Gulf of Mexico. The trial lasted eight days, and it took the jury less than three hours to issue a unanimous verdict.

  • Co-panelist of CLE sponsored by Tulane Law School and the Louis A. Martinet Legal Society. The CLE was titled “Enhancing Diversity in Judicial Clerkships,” January 27, 2018.
