Dawn R. Tezino is Senior Counsel at Kuchler Polk Weiner, LLC. Dawn graduated magna cum laude from University of Houston in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and graduated cum laude from Loyola University School of Law in 2001, where she was in the top 10% of her law school class and received the designation of William L. Crowe, Sr., Scholar.

While attending the University of Houston, Dawn minored in Radio-Television Communications and took several legal and debate courses which enhanced her communications skills and helped her to develop a passion for the law and seeking justice. In addition Dawn’s training in Psychology, has given her the skills to accentuate the human realities in each case, anticipate strengths and weaknesses and effectively engage and communicate with her audience.

Dawn is licensed to practice law in Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas and the Eastern and Western Districts of Louisiana. She has served in varying capacities for the State Bar of Texas and the National Bar Association, including past chair of the NBA Commercial Law Section and former Board of Governor’s Member and Deputy General Counsel for the National Bar Association. Dawn is also a member of the American Bar Association and is a former chair of the State Bar of Texas Standing Committee on Racial Diversity in the legal profession. She is an active member of both the State Bar of Texas and the State Bar of Louisiana.

Dawn concentrates her practice in labor and employment defense, premise and product liability and toxic torts, real estate transactions, corporate and internal investigations, and contracts and complex commercial transactions. She also routinely represents franchisors in contract negotiations and interpretation of franchise agreements, litigation, and has been successful in obtaining injunctions and enforcement of non-competes against former franchisees.
