Amber Barlow was recently selected and appointed to the Leadership Louisiana State Bar Association 2019-2020 Class. This year, 15 young lawyers were selected from an esteemed group of nominees from across the state. The program provides exposure to how the LSBA functions as well as the pressing issues that face the Association and the legal profession while providing the leadership class with opportunities to develop and exercise leadership skills through a variety of different facets throughout the Association.
Recently, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel recognized Amber Barlow as the “2019 Young Lawyers Committee Member of the Year”. Amber received this award at LADC’s annual Young Lawyers & LADC Board Dinner on August 1, 2019. This is quite a high honor within the organization, with stiff competition. Congratulations Amber!
On March 27-29, the Women’s Energy Network (WEN) held their National Conference in Denver, Colorado. The event brought together over 500+ participants from across the country, from multiple disciplines in the energy industry. Energy professionals from diverse disciplines and practices gathered to share their vast wealth of knowledge and experience. Amber B. Barlow attended on behalf of Kuchler Polk Weiner, LLC and participated in discussions on the top legal issues facing the industry, and brainstormed bold ways to tackle them.
Amber Barlow was recently selected as a 2019 Rising Star for the 2019 edition of Louisiana Super Lawyers. Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multi-phase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area. On January 31, 2019, Amber Barlow was a speaker at the LADC Winter Seminar. This event, a joint CLE with the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, took place in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
