David H. Hardwicke
David is Senior Counsel with Kuchler Polk Weiner, LLC. David received his undergraduate degree in English from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma in 1975. He received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1978 from the University of Oklahoma.
David brings to the Firm a wide variety of legal experience. He began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Named Outstanding Assistant District Attorney for 1981, David prepared and tried a number of cases to a verdict, including a lead role and extensive work in 1982-83 on the State of Oklahoma’s only contemporary “no-body” murder case. Beginning in 1984, his trial experience continued for 5 years as in-house counsel at Phillips Petroleum Company’s Houston field office, including serving as lead counsel in numerous personal injury and property damage defense cases. David then switched his legal focus and for several years concentrated on transactional matters for both Phillips and its Chemicals/Plastics affiliate, Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, LP. David has extensive experience in managing litigation.
David is admitted to practice law in Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Arkansas Bar Association and the Houston Bar Association. He is licensed to practice in all Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas state courts and has been qualified to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas, the Western and Northern Districts of Oklahoma, the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Tenth Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.
David is currently managing a litigation caseload at Kuchler Polk Weiner, LLC which includes defending clients in toxic tort, commercial and property damage litigation.
David is originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and is a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation. David currently resides in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Diane. The Hardwickes have three daughters. David enjoys shooting sports, cooking, riding motorcycles and motorcycle racing.
